The Department of Physics at MRSPTU has upheld its identity since 2012, when it was first established as a department at GZSCCET. In line with NEP-2020, it now offers Integrated B.Sc.–M.Sc. (Physics), B.Sc. (Non-Medical), B.Sc. Non-Medical (Computer Science), M.Sc. (Physics), and Ph.D. programmes. Its research spans Experimental Radiation Physics, Atomic and Radiation Physics, Material Science, Atmospheric Physics, and Theoretical Physics, making it a vibrant hub of learning and discovery.
The department is housed in a state-of-the-art building with advanced research laboratories, PG and UG labs, and ICT-enabled classrooms and seminar halls. The greatest strength of the department lies in its highly qualified, experienced, and motivated faculty, who are dedicated to imparting both theoretical knowledge and experimental skills. Its remarkable achievements are a demonstration to the dedicated efforts and tireless contributions of the faculty and staff.
