A hearty welcome to the Department of Electrical Engineering at Giani Zail Singh Campus College of Engineering and Technology, MRSPTU, Bathinda. The departmentwas established in the year 1989. Initially it offered only undergreduate course of Bachelor of Electrical Engineering. Post graduate course (part time) of Master of Technology in Power Engineering was started in the year 2003 by PTU Jalandhar. After the inception of the MRSPTU Bathinda, the part time study of M. Tech was changed to regular study of M. Tech Power System in the year 2016. Also doctoral programmes in the main areas of ElectricalEngineering and emerging allied areas were commenced in the year 2016 by the new university.
Along with the academics, the students are also encouraged to participate in extra-curricular and co-curricular activities under the banner of “ELECTECH” (Society of Electrical Engineers) and a departmental Tech-Fest is held annually, which are essential for personality development of the students.
