The Department is committed to teaching and research excellence in chemical sciences. Faculty members are conducting cutting-edge research in a wide range of areas of basic sciences. It strives to produce students who are sought-after, not only for their theoretical knowledge, but also for their spirit of innovation and problem solving capabilities. Although we remain competitive both in research and chemistry education, we shall aim to reach greater levels of excellence. We need to establish many more high-end research infrastructure for carrying out cutting edge interdisciplinary research and the process is going on.
